Design Story
Three thousand years ago, the ancient Shu people cast the sun into a wheel, letting bronze look up at the sky on their behalf. Masks dwell in a ring around the sun; divine birds carry light in their beaks; standing figures keep silent watch on either side, while scepter patterns guard the four directions. A gaze skyward that remains unsolved to this day, resting within a square of woven bamboo — mystery needs no explanation; reverence finds its own echo.
The bronze sun wheel takes the center, attended by bronze masks; a ring of bronze mythical beasts completes the circle, while standing bronze figures on either side keep their mystery and majesty, and golden scepter motifs in the four corners deepen the enigma. Square palace elements frame the wheel’s round heart — mysterious and majestic, alive with the imagination of all that remains unknown.
