Design Story
Four national treasures, one reunion upon brocade. Hua Hua, He Ye, Fu Bao and Mei Lan play and tumble around patterns of thousand-year-old Shu brocade; the loom’s calm and the Land of Abundance’s ease are gathered into a single round heart. The panda is Shu’s invitation to the world — and Shu brocade is the letter paper this invitation has used for a thousand years.
The four pandas are Hua Hua, He Ye, Fu Bao and Mei Lan — four national treasures, each in a different pose, together capturing the playfulness and gentle charm of the species. Shu brocade motifs are woven throughout: the center of the pattern, the four corners, and the background are all brocade.
